Introduction
MVRBC is a reformed and reforming Baptist church preaching the sovereign grace of God in salvation, holding firmly to the doctrines of grace commonly known as Calvinism made known only by revelation. God in His grace is causing MVRBC to see the unity of the work of the Godhead in His unconditional election before the foundation of the world, the irresistible grace and effectual call of the Godhead, and the limited atonement and particular redemption of God’s elect which actually accomplished the redemption of His people.
MVRBC attemps to be theocentric in its approach to worship of the Lord Jesus Christ following the regulative principle of worship with a primary focus on praying, singing of psalms and hymns, expository preaching (though not exclusively), Bible reading, catechism, and the Lord’s ordinances. MVRBC desires to exalt and focus on the Triune God alone in its worship of the Almighty, and is continuing to reform and repudiate present day man centered approaches. It is MVRBC’s prayer and desire that the Lord would continue to enlighten by revelation His grand and glorious Being which is worthy of all worship.
In the defense of the gospel and the adoration of Christ, MVRBC heartily agrees with Charles Spurgeon as he writes in his Defense of the Gospel quoted below:
“And what is the heresy of Arminianism but the addition of something to the work of the Redeemer? Every heresy, if brought to the touchstone, will discover itself here. I have my own private opinion that there is no such thing as preaching Christ and Him crucified, unless we preach what nowadays is called Calvinism. It is a nickname to call it Calvinism; Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else. I do not believe we can preach the gospel, if we do not preach justification by faith, without works; nor unless we preach the sovereignty of God in His dispensation of grace; nor unless we exalt the electing, unchangeable, eternal, immutable, conquering love of Jehovah; nor do I think we can preach the gospel, unless we base it upon the special and particular redemption of His elect and chosen people which Christ wrought out upon the cross; nor can I comprehend a gospel which lets saints fall away after they are called, and suffers the children of God to be burned in the fires of damnation after having once believed in Jesus. Such a gospel I abhor.”

What a blessing and joy to be a part of the SermonAudio ministry. No doubt MVBC is being enabled through this wonderful ministry to preach the riches of His grace and the gospel around the world as testified by the monthly download report. In addition, SermonAudio has allowed us to make the preached word available to new members, ministry workers, and untold others, so as all may easily and readily stay current with the present ministry of the church. We have already seen at least one family relocate to our region as a direct result of the Spirit's use of SermonAudio, for which we praise Him. May all glory go to His wonderful grace as a result of the preaching of God's word through SermonAudio by God's called servants as they collectively expound and preach His eternal and everlasting covenant!
