Introduction
Heritage Baptist Church is...
Separated in Its Stand: Heritage Baptist Church believes in the divine authority, verbal inspiration, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Word of God, and the great fundamentals of faith once delivered to the saints. As a result, we strive to propagate, defend, and preserve the fundamentals of the faith at all costs. Furthermore, we believe that the Lord's people must separate themselves from all worldliness, disobedient brethren, and false teaching. This is the doctrine of biblical separation.
God-centered in Its Worship: Heritage Baptist Church believes that traditional worship is in harmony with the clear teaching of the Bible. By traditional worship, we mean that worship should be God-centered. As such, our worship should be reverent in its music and Christ-centered in its preaching. It should not seek to entertain men as though it were a theater. Rather, it should strive to focus on Almighty God.
Prayerful in Its Activities: Heritage Baptist Church believes in the great importance of prayer. As a result, we seek to maintain the prayer meeting as a distinct weeknight meeting. Without the blessings of God in answered prayer, our all our efforts would be in vain. Corporate prayer is paramount.
Protestant in Its Heritage: We embrace, proclaim, and defend our Protestant heritage with gratitude and tenacity. This heritage is described in fives emphases: Scripture Alone, Christ Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, and God's Glory Alone. These are the pillars of our church's philosophy of ministry.
Evangelistic in Its Outreach: In obedience to the great commission of Christ: "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature," a program of Gospel preaching, missionary endeavor, and soul-winning activities are pursued. It is our great objective to lead men, women, and children of every class, color, language, and creed to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
