Satan is the author of confusion and chaos. God is the author of peace, shalom.
Shalom means more than peace in the sense of the absence of war; fundamentally, it means "prosperity, success, intactness, welfare, state of health, deliverance, salvation" [Ludwig Koehler and Walter Baumgartner, The Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament (E. J. Brill: Leiden, The Netherlands, 1958), pp. 973, 4].
This sermon explores how God's shalom will always triumph over the growing chaos that the old serpent, Satan, is spewing at us.
