More Sermon Details:       Our text is one that is taken from the 13th chapter of Matthew's gospel. In this chapter Matthew records 7 of the parables that Jesus spoke regarding the kingdom of God. (Kingdom of Heaven is Matthew's synonym for Kingdom of God) Each one of these parables is about some dimension, function, or aspect of the kingdom. The one that we are considering today from 13:44 is about the worth of the kingdom and its effect on those who discover it. Jesus through this parable is telling us that His kingdom is worth more than you will ever own and that those who see its worth are profoundly affected by it and that affect is joy. It is my desire to consider this parable with you through this sermon in the hope that the Spirit of God will open our eyes to see the Worth of the Kingdom and fill our hearts with joy.
