There must come a time when the follower of Jesus Christ reaches the limit of how much dryness and stagnancy they will tolerate in their hearts. Though God teaches much in our wilderness wanderings, far too many of us believe that it should be the acceptable norm for our lives. We fail to remember the promises and examples of Scripture which reveal God to be the author of vibrant, refreshing and dynamic experience.
No, this is not a message from a fringe fanatic. This is a message from a man who believes in God's glory being revealed in those who live outside of what is natural, mundane and sub-par. This is a message for those who are thirsty.
Part 2 of this message highlights the call to seek after God and to esteem higher than leisure, riches, sleep, food or anything else that dulls us to the reality that we were made for eternity. No need for you to remain preoccupied with those who have done you harm - God knows all about it and will defend the righteous.
Part 1 of this message should also be listened to in order to understand more fully the context for Part 2. Part 1 highlights the common experience that believers share involving dry times, unspectacular interaction with God and ministry ruts. Something has to change and God is more than willing to get involved.
