I preached this message at the visitation of a church member from a sister church. I adapted this message for my Sunday morning service at my home church. In this message, we see the world of Paul to the church at Corinth. He reminded them who it is that he preaches. First, we see Paul reminds them that he preaches Jesus. Notice, Paul said he didn't preach "ourselves". What type of message would we had if we preached our self. Paul told them he preached, Christ, Jesus the Lord. Next, in verse 6, Paul told them he preached Jesus because salvation is God's work. God caused the light to shine out of darkness. He caused the light to shine in their hearts. Also, Paul preached Jesus that the excellency of the power would be of God and not himself. Then, he preached Christ from verse 11, that the life of Christ might be made manifest in them. Finally, Paul preached Christ because of the Resurrection, from verse 14.
