The second authenticating Miracle is the healing of the Centurion's servant. The Centurion has such great faith, that Jesus marveled at it and used it as an opportunity to teach on the rejection of the Jews (sons of the kingdom) so as to allow the salvation of the Gentiles (many will come from east and west). This revealed a great picture of God's purposes as recorded in Matthew's gospel and also taught us much about the person and work of Jesus Christ.
