Having established that the church is built on Jesus Christ, we now consider the fact that Apostolic authority also is a part of that foundation. Apostolic doctrine and Apostolic tradition (set down once for all in the body of the NT) is crucial to the local church. In this sermon we examine the nature of the keys of the kingdom, asking three questions: 1. What are the keys of the kingdom? 2. What was Peter's relationship to the keys? 3. Who has the keys now?
