Most self-proclaimed Christians look like the world,
speak like the world, act the world, prioritize like
the world, spend their time like the world, watch
what the world watches, listen to what the world
listens to, are materialistic like the world,
practice idolatry like the world, and think like the
world.
In this sermon, Pastor Melton challenges Christians
to choose reformation over hypocrisy. This happens
when we reject man's ways (emotion, experience, human
reason) and turn back to God's ways by conforming our
belief and practice to the words contained in
Scripture.
He provides a basic overview of the Biblical Life by
encouraging believers to understand jurisdictions
(family, church, state), hold a biblical worldview,
and live an examined life! The evidence of saving
faith includes obedience, good works, and spiritual
fruit.

Great Sermon! Interesting introduction, very powerful sermon. Just listening to Pastor Melton bring to the front some of the real expectations that Jesus would of taught had he been her himself is some what of an "oh yea" that's right, I am supposed to do it like that. I certainly will download this and replay it on a schedule just to maintain my focus as to what it is that I need to accomplish from my Bible reading and Christian living. Charles Stanley has something similar to this in book form but listening to it from someone who has tasted a lot of the worlds flavors (so to speak) is quite empowering. If someone accuses you of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? If you ask yourself that and the answer you come up with is 'no', listen to this sermon! Even if your answer is yes, check it out anyway, there is much to learn. It will point you in the right direction for faith and self healing. Thank you Pastor Melton!
