Galatians 6:11-13

What are the motives that inspire these legalist's
in the church to usurp the
Gospel?
What prompts them to lay down false ideas of what it
means to be right with
God?

1. Pride - the first motive v 12.
2. Fear - the second motive v 12b
3. Pretense - v 13

We all know where our tendency lies. Maybe it is
Pride for you. Maybe it is

Fear of man or persecution; maybe it is some
Conceited pretense about yourself.

Remember Paul's words to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:5
(NASB95) "...holding to a
form of godliness, although they have denied its
power; avoid such men as
these"

May God help us all to drop the pride, fear and
pretense; and trust in the
Gospel!!
