Following the Sermon on the Mount (Mtt 5-7), Matthew records the miracle ministry of Jesus Christ. These are theologically arranged in the gospel to authenticate that Jesus is who he says he is, the "Lord Lord" of Mtt 7:21, and the long awaited Messianic King. In this first miracle, the healing of the leper, there is much to be learned about Christ and about humility and faith.
