America once worshiped God. Then God was slowly replaced with a worship of nationalistic patriotism. Now that former worship of God and worship of country has devolved into a worship of individualism. We are a nation of people infatuated with Self.
This message takes Christians back to our roots to remind us of the God-ordained oneness that is to remain with us as much more than a doctrinal affirmation. Oneness, togetherness, fellowship and partnership in the Gospel is our functional reality.
But we don't quite believe that as we once did.
This message shows how Christians draw close together in times of trouble, for power and proclamation and in selflessness and sacrifice. This shared life is a major component of what Christ died for in addition to what He prayed for us in John 17. In a day where a Christian can fool himself into believing that he can approvingly worship God with a purposeful distancing of himself from other believers, we need to reboot our oneness and experience again the holy power which comes from merging our lives with others. Be exhorted and encouraged by what you hear.
