The opposite of praying is prayerlessness. Our nature often times goes contrary to the Holy Spirit and prayer is one of those things that falls by the wayside. Prayerlessness means total or habitual neglect of prayer. We all should admit there are occasions when we don't pray. Those times when all is going well we kind of slack off. We put it off till a later time. Doing so causes us some huge problems; it can be even a sin. Not praying can be direct disobedience. Also it can lead to temptation even death itself. But there is also the duty or assignment or prayer. It takes an effort to pray; our body might be just too tired but we need to pray. We must pray. Prayer is courage in motion. It is taking action when there is nothing else that we can do about the subject.
