“ Great Sermon! ”
Matt! What a tremendous, well-thought-out, well presented, biblically based talk! I think you nailed it. I subscribe to the saying, "You can't legislate morality." Change has to come from the HEART, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the One Who, by His resurrection, transforming power, changes all types of sinners from the worst, to the 10 yr. old who steals a dime from her mother's purse. I'm a senior citizen, and about as much a Bible thumper, as one can be--very much a believer in the fundamentals of the historic, orthodox, Christian faith. Everything you said was totally accurate. The only fault I would find with your talk (and I say this in love)was that I don't think you needed to sound quite as almost hesitant/unsure about your view(s)as you did. But you are real nice and that probably goes over better than someone like myself, who tends to be nice (I think), but am more unwavering. Anyway, God bless you and your service for Him, and I love you in the bonds of the Lord Jesus. In Christ, Abigail

Matt made some good points about CFA and gay marriage issue... I believe that he will be a great addition to your podcast -- I looked over your audio category's and found some that will be interesting to hear. Good luck in your efforts. Reese

“ Enjoyed the Message ”
Matt, I agree with you that both sides are not going to budge on the issue of homosexuality; but now I have to question, which sides? At one point, the arguments seemed to be between the 'heterosexuals' and the 'homosexuals'. Then it seemed to be the 'believers' vs the 'non-believers'. Now it seems to be the 'homosexual believers' vs the heterosexual believers'. It has indeed become so confusing that it is difficult to know who one is arguing with, much less what one is arguing about. I consistently feel that most homosexuals that I engage in conversation with like where they are, refuse to acknowledge sin. I always feel I'm conversing with someone who is a reprobate and wonder why I bother caring about their salvation. In any instance Matt, I enjoyed your talk (as usual) and look forward to hearing more from you in this venue.

“ In other words ”
It seems to me that when those who oppose the choices of the outsider are setting themselves up as the conscience of the culture. I don't see that role in scripture for believers, even when they attempt to say these things in the structure of a democracy. We are not called to point out the outsider's mistakes however much it may scratch the itch of personal pride. We are called to be more of a counter-culture and less of a part of the dominant culture which the conscience must be. Love in a culture of hatred is a rebelious act. Let's be rebels for the common good.

“ Great Sermon! ”
In my opinion, I agree with you on the point of not joining in on the negativisms of the debate; but, I believe is upholding the Lord's views regarding homosexuality as it pertains to the "act", not the person. It's not our place to judge. And with some people, you have to keep pounding it into their heads that what they are doing is wrong!

“ Very insightful! ”
Actual truth rather then I'm right and you're wrong statements. I hate the word tolerant and would use acceptance of fellow humans instead. But otherwise very insightful and well said! Format feedback: Did not like the very long intro and all the clicks to have to get to the podcast. Otherwise great platform.

“ How long should we remain silent ”
I am for traditional marriage (which is interpreted as being anti-gay marriage). Matt seems to be saying we should not talk about it but where do we draw the line about what we will not talk about for fear of offending. How do I talk about the gospel without talking about sin? What about genocide is that another non-gospel issue we should be silent on? Rob Bell and the emergent church called for a five year silence on the gay issue but the gay community is not also agreeing on a period of silence. All this doesn't mean we shouldn't be gracious or gospel centered but Jews could have been saved if the German church did not remain silent to the sin of genocide. So there is a need to preach on sin Paul did.

“ Kudos Matt ”
Matt, there are Christians that understand the truth of what you said Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?. Jesus, not gay or other sin issues being berated, is what needs to be preached. However, if no one stood on behalf of the issue, Chick fil a would be over run and out of business. The GLBT response is intentional and radical and designed to heighten peoples emotions. So, it is appropriate to find a way to stand, without being vicious, on the topic. Hopefully people WILL translate their stance into the voting booth but, that will not end the controversy. God Bless your ministry!

“ Glad to have you on board! ”
Well done, Matt! Great NiFP for a first timer! Good points, totally agree. All Christians should hear this and think about it.
