John Newton is best known as the author of Amazing Grace and other hymn verse but there is more to be known. John Newton's story has been told elsewhere but this is a great and worthwhile introduction and summary. This message includes Newton's early life including his adventures at sea and as a slave trader. It continues through his conversion, marriage, and establishment as the pastor at Olney, England. The emotional range of this message may bring some to laughter and some to tears.
