The martyrs' blood, indeed! The profundity of the verse from Leviticus (the life of the flesh is in the blood) escapes me but I find it ever so interesting that so many of the translators and
missionaries who have labored for years to produce a Bible in a new language have paid for the work with their own blood. I would love to study the numbers but have not the time. Suffice it to say, there is martyrs' blood on my King James Bible. I am grateful that a few were willing to pay such a cost.
