THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS — this is the kingdom (ruled over by Satan) in which every member of Adam's fallen race is born into. ONLY GRACE CAN RESCUE ANY SINNER OF MANKIND AND TRANSLATE HIM OR HER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD'S SALVATION.
No amount of religious duties, professions, church work, trying to "do good," making decisions, walking aisles, signing cards, shaking the preacher's hand — none of these are of any avail unless God has laid seige to the heart in a mighty work of the Spirit to regenerate, resurrect and translate that sinner from the awful state he's in by nature!
Oh, may God move upon every listener, in the power of His truth, to awaken them! Memorizing the "doctrines of grace" and select proof-texts will do us no good. There must be an operation of God, purposely, directly and immediately upon the heart and soul.
As John Bunyan advised his hearers: "PRAY TO JESUS CHRIST FOR AN AWAKENED HEART!" Amen and Amen.
