In this sermon we deal with the importance of setting forth truth from the pulpit. It is not a request for those who have authority in the Churches to teach and preach the Word of God & to edify with the Word of God. It is a command. We are not to put things out from the pulpit that minister confusion rather than edification. We are to found the congregation on the truth, not questions. Questions are good in their place, but the pulpit is no place to minister questions that have no answers. We need to focus on the things that can be proven & give the congregation truths that they can take their Bible and prove them to be so & build up on in their understanding of God's Word. We should all strive to be founded on the things we have proven to be taught in Scripture. Leave the questions to private conversation, not preach them to the congregation, leaving them with no answer & nothing to build on. Pastor J. N. Ewton
