We left Joseph in Prison, but he is not in despair, as God blesses him once more. We note Joseph's care for others despite his own plight, his patience and proactivity, and his faithfulness in speaking the truth to the Butler and Baker. Two full years pass before his dream interpretation is remembered and he is brought into the presence of Pharaoh, where by God's blessing he is swept to a position of immense power and authority in Egypt. He becomes the Saviour of that nation, so much so that the King advises his people to 'Go to Joseph!'. Joseph is a type, or picture, of the Saviour of the World, the Lord Jesus Christ. We reflect on this encouraging history and seek to tell those about us to 'Go to Jesus!'
