In this sermon we tie together the various strands of Biblical thought we have set out in the past three messages. We must ask the question "How do Jesus and His Apostles apply the Old Testament Law to the New Testament Scriptures?" The great interpretive key to understanding this is the triplex understanding of the Law in which we view it in its moral, ceremonial, and civil aspects. Although this triplex nature is not explicitly spelled out, it is both a good and a necessary inference from Scripture itself. This interpretation is no novel viewpoint, but has been heralded in the church of God for 2,000 years. In this message, we seek to prove that it is indeed the Bible's own view of the Law, and this has significant implications as to how we apply the Law today.
