All over the American church scene an invasion has been planned, carried out, and won a great victory. Sacred music has been vanquished and a new, sinful, carnal type of music has utterly triumphed. Examine, through audio examples and clips, and in light of scripture, your own family's and church's current musical choices.

“ Don't Be 'Troubled' ”
Sometimes love is expressed in the taking of the time and enduring the digs of preaching messages such as these. Discerning and not being conformed to the spirit of this age is not an option for the Christian (Rom.12:2)and music has been the means to express this spirit especially in the past 50 to 60 years. Any thing that expresses the spirit of any given evil age is WORLDLY, and the Christian realistically has no business with it except to expose it and reprove it.

“ Troubled ”
Many good points, but I fear some presuppositions have blurred the application of the Scriptures. What instrument, rhythm, harmony, melody, etc. has not been used for carnal or worldly purposes? If all things have, in one way or another, been tainted by the world, how does one determine which of these are worldly and which are available for sacred use? Why give the world so much credit? Who says the world owns this or that style of music? If it sounds angry, it sounds angry. Avoid it for that, not for the fact that the world "used it first." Whether first or second, the world has used everything for evil purposes, even the names of Father and Son! Should we, therefore, avoid using God's name in a sacred context? Does not man look on the outward appearance while the LORD looks on the heart? The LORD looks on the heart, yet nothing was said about love for God and neighbor (the greatest commandment) as the essential component of what is truly sacred. "But the greatest of these is love." Honest discernment and self-examinations for the both the messenger and the hearer.

“ Great Sermon! ”
thank you for this message - I especially appreciated the reminder of Romans 14:19-21 - so many good Christians have been and are being hurt by what is no more than a bill of goods foisted on them by a self serving industry -

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thankyou Brother Cloud for this wonderful sermon. I agree with you one hundred percent on this topic. The reason is because it lines up with the Bible. God Bless
