Esther found herself as the Queen to an unholy King. She was taken from her family, she was queen to a man that had kicked out the last queen because she wouldn't do something wicked and vile. She had to be wondering why this was happening to her. It was a mixture of good and bad. Good because she was now queen and being cared for with riches she had never known but she also had to be in fear of what the King might one day demand of her. In the midst of this we find the Jews are being threatened and Mordecai tells Esther "who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this". Do you wonder why you are in certain situations? Why are you having trials, why are you being subjected to unexpected conditions? Look around and see what the LORD might be positioning you to do. He is in control and knows what is happening and why. He doesn't just now how your situation will end but understands the impact it will have years from now. He sees the whole picture....just trust Him and stand firm in your faith in Him.
