Our ideas about liberty will shape our actions in this life. Everyone has some idea of what liberty is, yet not all ideas will produce godly fruit. The only foundation for liberty is Jesus Christ and His truth and that truth tells us two primary things about liberty. Firstly, it is only by believing in the sufficiency of Christ's work alone, done on our behalf, that we are justified and thus delivered from the bondage of sin and guilt. Secondly, it requires much zeal and self-sacrifice, though the enabling of the Spirit, to defend and advance the boarders of liberty--a task we are all called to be involved in. Liberty has to do with God working in us and then through us--let's be about our Father's business.
