God calls us to be contented with what we have, which is the best remedy for our sovereign aspirations. Contentment brings our feelings, desires and expectations into line with God's sovereign purposes for us. Also, we are not to fear because there is nothing that people can do to us that doesn't have to first be cleared before the throne of heaven.
