We see the final reckoning of all mankind that ever lived with God and His Christ, the final reckoning with others and ourselves before God, and the final reckoning with death (which for Christians is victory, having their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life, which is the 'Mercy Book', as Bruce Metzger puts it). We see that Judgment Day, as in the days of Noah, is the great hope of God's people as they live through it and it ushers in a new earth free of the wicked, this time forever with a new heaven (Revelation 21-22).
