To retaliate means to get even with someone who has wronged you. When we get hurt we want to make someone pay for it. Samson got mad and stormed off but eventually he returned. Our actions and words have consequences and Samson found this out. However Samson decided on retaliation rather than to get things right. Many times when we retaliate someone else gets hurt. The true rewards of retaliation are people being brought down lower and lower.
