The scribes who were spies wanted Jesus to die. It is possible to tell the truth dishonestly. This is one tactic of Satan. We will face people to seem to be telling the truth who do not want you to truly know the truth but to believe lies. Jesus asks questions that expose the truth. Whose image do you bear? We were made to reflect the glory of God. Do people know the Lord? That should be our goal. Everything belongs to God and people are the image bearers of God. God is, not was. God's word will never pass away and we must take it seriously. Jesus is not won over by flattery. Jesus has confidence in God's word, do you? If you want to have a life that is wise and blessed, believe God's word. Trust Him.
