God's salvation has provided righteousness for all who believe the glorious gospel truth. This salvation also provides for holiness of life, otherwise known as sanctification. A life lived set apart from sin and to God that is characterized by righteousness.
The implications of having been born again and raised to a new life includes having the power and control of sin broken. Sin is no longer master, no longer dominating. The result is freedom from sin and freedom to live a life in obedience to God, doing what is pleasing to Him rather than self.
Closely tied in with this discussion of the nature and realm of the believer's freedom in Christ is the concept of the believer's obedience. Being under grace and no longer under the Law the believer is able to live a life of obedience to God and is no longer obligated or enslaved to sin and sinful desires. This cure for sin - dying with Christ as Paul has detailed - results in a new and whole life change.
