This is the second of three lessons on Paul's prayer for the Ephesian saints (1:15-23). It is a prayer for continued enlightenment - that the Spirit would open the eyes of the saints more and more to the spiritual realities of their hope, their riches in glory, and the power of God that works in and upon them even now. As they look back on the way in which God called them and as they look forward to their riches in glory, they are to remember that the same power that will conquer all of Christ's enemies will also overcome all obstacles in them as well, and bring them safe to glory.
