Social positions and physical circumstances are the situations in which God chooses to save people so those need not change as a believer. Changing those particulars are not necessary in living in a spiritual relationship with God, nor do they have an effect on spiritual life. Our spiritual relationship with the living God is neither improved nor taken away from by the job we do, where we live or relationships we are in or not in. These are not to say our circumstances will never change - but these need not nor should be changed in an effort to improve our relationship with God. Once again we find great encouragement that our relationship with God is by His gracious calling and His sovereign control over all our life.
