The Christian who does this will be a good soldier in the fight of faith. He will stand against the evil forces and will endure against the powers of wickedness at work around us. The Christian who fails to have this preparation - note this emphasis on what this is called – THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE fails to be a good soldier of the cross. We need to look at that. But we can immediately see that the Christian must always be prepared – ready to go and ready to fight, or else he will be overcome.
