Encouragement in Suffering Part 3. Mr. Bill Brockway was a member of our church and was encouraged by this passage in the last weeks of his death. He loved Romans 8. In addition to preaching this portion of scripture at his funeral these messages were preached to the brethren. They proved to be a source of great comfort to us when Bill went to be with the Lord. Dear believer, our prayer is that our Lord will use these messages to strengthen you in the midst of your suffering. If you do not yet know Jesus Christ our prayer is that you will begin to understand and seek after the God of all comfort. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
