All human beings long for a self-giving and sacrificial relationship of love and intimacy where we can be naked and unashamed, but our hearts deceive us in how we try to obtain this. The Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 5:3 that sexual immorality and all impurity must not be practiced, nor even named among you because you are saints in Christ. Having put off sexual immorality and impurity in Christ (Eph. 4:19), we now live putting on Christ and learning the joy, purity and beauty of sex as God's created it. As God's people in Christ we finally find the true intimacy we were created to enjoy for God's glory, but we live in a world obsessed by sexual immorality and impurity; we have hearts that are still tempted to many sinful lusts; we need God's grace to overcome and become the saints we already are in Jesus Christ!
