We all tend to agree that stealing is bad. But we make exceptions, saying that some act is not stealing 'because' of some or other excuse. God's word is not grey, but black and white, plain and simple. When we think deeply, we see that we all all thieves, not least in the way we have stolen our lives from God. We may think that all the stealing we have done was a few sweets from the corner shop when we were ten, but the reality is sadly different. When we see that we have stolen from God, we may begin to see that we ultimately steal from ourselves the possibility of knowing God, and of eternal life. Who are you stealing from?
