This passage contains the very heart of Paul's argument, and the death-blow to those Judaisers who try to teach that the Galatians can be saved by adding to the work of Christ. We consider firstly, the curse of the law, secondly, covenants and the law, and thirdly, the question 'what is the law for?'. Seeing that there are two types of covenant being discussed and knowing which comes first shows us very clearly that Salvation is all of grace, and all the work of God on our behalf - we can never be saved by the law!
