It is striking how many times the Scriptures declare
Jesus to be the sinless righteous Substitute. In
this passage concerning the trial before Pilate,
Pilate's own wife says that Jesus is a just Man. Yet
this just Man was condemned to die ... by unjust men,
for unjust men and women.
