Points: I. The Prayer about Their Testimony II. The Request from Their Testimony III. The Evidence for Their Testimony
Our study of the early chapters of Acts continues. Although some or most of the teaching that was taking place in the early church was in the Temple, the Apostles were being watched and opposed by the Jewish leaders.
In fact, they had told the disciples to not teach in Jesus' name. The disciples (Apostles) however had been given the task by Christ to be His witnesses... in Jerusalem, in Judea and unto the ends of the earth.
They responded by meeting together and praying to the Lord. They asked the Lord to give them boldness and to assure them of His presence.
He shook the place where they were meeting and they were committed to a path of boldness. As they were encouraged and emboldened... so should we be.
