Some of those plastic plants I've seen in the doctor's office seem so real; especially when their leaves are regularly wiped, and the dust is vacuumed out of their pot. In fact, I could walk by a plant like that every day not even noticing it was plastic. Imagine being a plant like that. Maybe you'd look in the mirror and see that you resemble plants from outside, but after years of looking at yourself each morning, you finally start noticing little oddities. You notice your leaves always look exactly the same. Your direction. You're not changing … not growing. And if someone accidently watered you, you might be at a loss as to what to do with the water. "But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life." (Rom 6:22) In some ways, people can be like artificial plants. Some have called themselves Christians for years, having never honestly looked into the mirror of God's word to understand if they are, indeed Christians. Are you for real?
