This passage contains one principal fact conjoined with two commands. We have such a great High Priest in heaven as has been outlined in the first 4 chapters of Hebrews, that we need to respond by being faithful to the content of the Gospel, confessing and declaring its truths. And secondly, because we have such a sypathetic High Priest, we should not hesitate to come to him in our times of need, but instead draw near to him with confidence that he will receive us with mercy and grace.
