Before that, he was a layman working as a Sunday School teacher from 2005 until 2007 while serving on Active Duty in the United States Army. He shares preaching responsibility, shepherds the Chapel Class (Sunday School), Coordinates the visitation program and oversees the missions program. In the academy, he teaches World Religions to the seniors and coaches the varsity boys’ soccer team. Bill holds a B.Th (2004) and M.Th (2005) from Southern Indiana Baptist College; a BS in Religion from Liberty University (2008); an M.R.E. (2010) and an MDiv.(2012)—both from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He was saved out of a life of “Sinner’s Prayer”-ism and placed his faith in the finished work of Christ alone while pastoring in his 2nd church in 1999. Bill has felt the call to ministry most of his life having preached as a 5th grader to his peers in childrens’ church. He is a student of Scripture; a student of his family; a student of people; and a student of the game of soccer. He served 8 ½ years on Active Duty—being selected for the rank of Sergeant First Class before becoming a United States Army Reserve Chaplain in 2010. His greatest challenge is his prayer life. Preaching Christ and His cross are Bill’s passion. He is happily married to Nikki, his wife of 15 years, and they have five children. Contact Bill at bsturm.bbc@gmail.com. | more | less
