Pastor Williams was saved in 1982 and afterwards answered God's call upon his life to the Gospel ministry. He graduated from Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi with a B.A. (1985) and from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary of Germantown, Tennessee with a M.Div. (1996). He also spent time in doctoral studies at Mid-America from 1996 to 1999. Pastor Williams served in churches in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas before returning to his home state in 2002.
