Matthew Pickhaver was born in 1974 in Nottinghamshire, England but grew up in Norfolk and Suffolk. Converted at an early age, he later studied zoology at University College London and education at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. He now lives in Lowestoft, where he has been a primary school teacher since the year 2000, and is a member of Oulton Broad Free Presbyterian Church.
