I received a frantic phone call; our two older boys had disappeared, the police had been called and all the neighbors were searching. I rushed home to join the search. They were only seven and eight years old and it was terrifying to think of what might be happening to them. By the time I got home, the boys were being walked up to the house. They had been playing with some new friends and were surprised at all the fuss, not even knowing they were lost. We were so glad to see them and that they were OK.
In Isaiah 53:6 we read: All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (NKJV)
Everyone has strayed from the God’s path but most don’t even know that they are lost. All have wandered and somehow the lost must be found. God has an answer for that. His Son Jesus was laid on a cross; nailed there and while on that cross was made to be sin. God laid on Him the iniquity of us all and all of us can be forgiven our sins if we will believe in Him. Are you one of the lost? Just listen for the voice of the Great Shepherd calling your name. Come to Him. He will be glad to see you and will forgive your sins and set you on His path. He has paid the price for your wandering. Come to Him today.
