Who Has Believed? - Radio Broadcast for November 29, 2012 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? Isaiah 53:1 NKJV This the cry of the prophet: "Who has believed?" God sent His prophets to teach, to warn, to proclaim and they were rejected. Their report was not received. Their proclamation of calamity was unpopular and their call for repentance to avoid judgment was rejected.
The report of a suffering savior was unfathomable. That God would send a savior that would fail to save, Himself. There was no comprehension that the savior would be the sacrifice, that the sacrifice would be the salvation.
When we look at Isaiah 53:1, we would have to answer that very few have believed the report but the second part we answer that to everyone has been revealed the arm of the Lord. The strength of God revealed in the weakness of a man wounded and bruised has been revealed to all. The wounded and bruised savior arose from the grave in victory over sin and death, and is salvation to those who do believe. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13 NKJV
The report is in, the strength of God revealed; do you believe?
