My People Shall Know My Name
My People Shall Know My Name - Radio Broadcast for November 22, 2012 In 1992 I lead a Youth With A Mission group into Siberia Russia. The Ron Reed group was thankfully really lead by experienced YWAMers who made all the arrangements and kept us all together. In each city we needed to know the name of our hotel, our local guide and the name of our group which was the Ron Reed YWAM group. It is important to know who you are with. But, the name of God was a mystery to His people. They were afraid to say it but in fact had a sound that approximated the name of God. In Isaiah 52:6 we read: Therefore My people shall know My name; Therefore they shall know in that day That I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.’ ” (NKJV)
A change is coming, for God’s people, and they will know the God whose name they speak. They will know God, His name inscribed on their hearts, His ways written on the tablets of their hearts. All of Israel will in that day know the name of Jesus and will speak it from the heart. This was made possible at the cross and from the empty tomb. Soon God will awaken Israel to their Messiah and they will proclaim His name.
Do you know the the Lord? He is Jesus Christ the Son of God who gave His life as a ransom for ours and now lives at God’s right hand. You may know His name, but by faith you can know Him as well. He will dwell with you and you will know Him when He speaks.
