Aya was the first baby to arrive at Muphamuzi Baby Home and is now the first one to be placed with a loving family. This beautiful little girl is now 5 months old. Her mom dropped her off at the home when she was about 1 month old on March 2nd. We haven't heard from her biological mom since.

Aya is Xhosa. Her full name Ayavuya means "they are happy" (and the Chilingulo family definitely is! :) ). She is a bit reserved, but when she smiles it goes from ear to ear. She loves making loud noises - testing out different sounds. She loves her new mommy and daddy!

Newton and Vanessa Chilingulo fell in love with this precious little girl the moment they saw her. They are from Malawi and are members of Living Hope Church. Newton is currently a pastoral intern under Josh Mack and Vanessa works at the Baby Home 5 days a week. On July 10th, Aya moved into their home. Newton and Vanessa have welcomed her into their family and are seeking to raise her in the wisdom and instruction of the Lord. Praise God! For now they are doing temporary foster care but we hope that Lord willing, it will be permanent soon and will eventually lead to adoption. We are praying that God will work in the heart of Aya's social worker to move towards adoption - something that we've learned is not as common for social workers as we thought.

Please pray with us for Aya and her new parents, Newton and Vanessa:

- For the adoption process, that God would open doors and hearts, that it would take place sooner than we expect, and that God would glorify himself throughout.

- For Newton and Vanessa as they are now new parents. That God would give them all the grace they need to raise and care for Aya.

- For Aya, that God would show her grace and that by hearing the Gospel in this Christ-centered family, God would save her.

- For Aya, that she would grow healthy and strong.
