A truly born again Christian is a strange looking creature to the average unbeliever who is walking in spiritual darkness. The world system wants to live in sin and the Christian desires to abstain from anything that is displeasing to God. You have a head on collision to say the least. They do not understand why you don’t want to get drunk, gamble, steal, and commit adultery, to name a few things. The Christian is happy in the Lord because he is a member of God’s family. God is his source of happiness, but the world thinks he is crazy.

The world system and the Christian are not operating on the same frequency at all. They who know not God cannot tune into his broadcasting station (The Bible) because they have never been transformed from death to spiritual life. Being spiritually blind, they don’t want church, the Bible, or Godly living. They don’t and can’t have any appetite for it until they repent of their sins and get born again. They would be better off never to be born the first time unless they are going to have the second birth and miss Hell.

When we know God we have a desire to study his love letter called the Bible. When we love God we love his instructions and the world doesn’t understand that. God’s word tells us not to be surprised if we do not win any popularity contest in a sinful world system like this one. We read in I John 3:13,-14 “Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”
