Never say this to a person who does worry....Dont worry about it...

The problem with a person who worries is that they worry - that's their problem. If they did not worry they would not have this problem, says D M Lloyd-Jones. So he said, do not say to them don't worry. If they could stop they would not be worried. There problem is that they worry!

This is a refreshing tone ,from D M Lloyd-Jones, he goes on to point us to The Lord (as we would expect),but how many times are believers told dont worry, you lack this or that. Its your fault you worry if only you did this or that.

The Sad thing in all this, and we all have to look at ourselves in this, is we are saying to the believer "you have not seen this in the Bible or acted like I tell you, or you would not worry". How do we know this? This person may have a bigger view of God and His word than we ever have.

Paul worried, once he feared speaking at Corint and God had to send an angel to assure him, Paul don't worry all will be well. He worried about the church at Corinth, they did not love him back.

Peter worried how the Jews would react to him, so seperated from Gentiles. Peter did sin in this but it shows, worry-fear, is not confined to certain believers. We are all on the same level, and only have peace when we look to The Lord, and keep looking unto Jesus. Some times a illness or body weakness causes us to take our eye of Him at times. We just dont have the energy to look ,all the day long and grasp the word as before. The mind is weak.

What does the Bible say about such people ? give them a lecture, tell them if only they would do right and they would feel ok? I think not, rather we are told to "Comfort the feeble minded" (1 Thess. chp 5v14)....yes comfort and support the weak. No mention here of I know best buddy, do as I say and all will be well. I write this to comfort and support any weak soul, not to cause strife.
