I hope everyone who receives this email is doing well. We had another round of snow over the weekend, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. I thank God for His love and goodness toward His people. Continue to pray for those who are lost and in need of a Saviour, those who need spiritual revival, and those who need to repent of sin. Also, pray for those who are in need of God's physical and/or emotional healing.
Deuteronomy 3:21-24, "And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all thekingdoms whither thou passest . 22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fightfor you. 23 And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, 24 O Lord GOD, thou hast begun toshew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or inearth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?"
What a promise God passed on to the children of Israel through Moses, and then ultimately to Joshua. Basically God grew the confidence of these men through His power and His promises. Notice how Joshua's confidence grew:
It grew by what he had already seen the LORD do - vs. 21 "Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done..."
It grew by what Moses promise Joshua - vs. 22 "Ye shall not fear them (the kings or nations they would fight): for the LORD your God he sh
ll fight for you."
It grew because of God's power - vs. 24, "...thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, andaccording to thy might?"
onfidence is not cockiness. Confidence is something that comes because of God. The flesh is limited
and imperfect, because we are human,
but with God all things are possible! Mark 10:27, "And Jesus looking upon them saith, Withmen it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible."
May we become increasingly confident in our God!!!
