"As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me." (Psalm 55:16) Who or what are you hoping in today? The greatest of all decisions is to trust Christ as our Saviour, and to follow Him all the days of our lives.
Hebrews 10:4,10 and 14, "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 10 ...we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."
If you recall, when we began reading through the book of Hebrews, I mentioned one of the key words in the book is the word "better." We have recently been reading about the superior covenant of the New (Christ) Testament over that of the Old (Mosaic) Testament. It is clearly stated for us in Hebrews 10:4 that it impossible for the blood of bulls and of goats to take away sins. So God, brought His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ into the world (vs. 5) to give Himself as a sacrifice for us. You and I are set apart from sin through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (vs. 10).
God's redemptive purpose was accomplished ONCE AND FOR ALLthrough the death of Jesus Christ on Calvary. "For by one offering he (Jesus) hath perfected fore ever them that are sanctified."
The song writer, Robert Lowry, is correct who wrote in 1876: What Can Wash Away My Sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What Can Make Me Whole Again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus."
When men want to ridicule those who believe there is only one way to Heaven. I will believe the Bible, "For by one offering he (Christ) hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
